DESCRIPTION:$40\n\nSign up here: http://www.thepaletteandthepage.com/workshops1.html#!/Alcohol-Inks-Landscapes-Saturday-July-22-1-3pm/p/81732377/category=22714306\n\n\n\nInstructor: Catherine Houghton\n\nLevel: Intermediate to Advanced (participants should have some experience with alcohol inks or have experience with landscapes in other media.)\n\nParticipants will explore the inherent characteristics of alcohol inks to move and mix on Yupo (a synthetic paper) to create impressionistic landscapes.\n\nTechniques will include "pour and tilt"\, "nozzle painting" and the use of coffee stirrers and cotton swabs to assist in moving the inks in desired patterns (keeping in mind the unpredictability of the inks will affect results and that this is the beauty of this art form).\n\nParticipants will learn how to create impressionistic skies\, mid-grounds and foregrounds and will take home their favorite creation as a matted\, framed 5 x7 painting.
