DESCRIPTION:CMUS is a non-profit organization consisting of fully trained volunteer mediators who bring people together to clarify issues\, discuss options and\, when possible\, reach an agreement when conflicts arise.  \n\nMediators are trained to assist individuals with a wide range of issues\, including: Neighborhood disputes\, Landlord-Tenant issues\, Family disputes\, Group and Organizational conflicts\, Child access\, Business disputes\, Truancy\, and Court referrals.  \n\nOur service is valuable to the community.  Every agreement that is reached outside the court system saves taxpayer funds and allows tax dollars to go further. \n\nOur volunteer mediators share our vision: to provide free and accessible conflict resolution services through mediation\, education and training in order to promote respectful resolution of conflicts and disputes. \n\nIf you share our vision\, we want you to join us as a Volunteer Mediator with CMUS!  This 45 hour intensive basic mediation training is mandatory for all CMUS Volunteer Mediators.  Attendees MUST attend all training sessions.  CMUS investment cost per attendee is $500+.  \n\nAttendees must complete and submit a Volunteer Data Sheet & Contract to CMUS for training attendance approval.
